Conundrum

It was only after a great deal of effort building the ramp, that the Obotomites recognised a fundamental flaw in the planning.
If the plan was to succeed, the take-off ramp to launch themselves back to the mainland would probably have a greater chance of success if it were to slope the other way, i.e. upwards. The Master RouteFinder turned to his fellows, and with a surprisingly gallic shrug for a Lancastrian, volunteered the FEC to have first go at clearing the gap. The FEC contemplated a watery end, and wondered how it was that he always had the short straw in the Game of Life.
