Ohh, what's this?

Latest paperazzi long-lens shot from todays' edition of News of the Wold shows us a view of Medial Malleolus's garage, strangely short of one Tiger, but with a ???? in the background. What could this mean? Has he had a change of ride, or was a mate round for a brew, or what? More news as it comes to me, folks....

Medial Malleolus and his new garage

As you may be aware, MM is moving to a new garage today, if all goes to plan and this 'blogging ahead and choosing the day it gets posted' works. The success or failure will be apparent in the number of blog entries for the next two or three weeks. If the move happens, I will be busy helping him build a padded cell in his new garage and then prepping the bike for the Southern Scotland Raid.
Whilst the new garage is only 600yds from his present abode, it is 600yds NORTH and as we all know, 'it's grim up north' so t'interweb at that end of the village is uncertain. In fact, so is elastictrickery and running water. He may be gone some time, and as a result so may I.
Fear not, he will return.
Older.
Greyer.
Much, much poorer.

It is with grave concern that I bring you the news that our erstwhile motorcycle colleague, Medial Malleolus, rider of great mileage in all weathers and seasons, has turned into a....







Fair Weather Biker!!!

Above, you can see spy shots of the replacement for his GS500.
Now I don't know about you, but that looks like it has too many damned wheels for a bike.
And a roof.
And far too many doors.
The engine's about the right size, though.
If I could, I would send him to see Dr Az for a 'chat', but he may find that a bit difficult.
Mind you, I have seen him talking to himself before now, so it may be worth a go.

Medial health update

I heard it on the grapevine. MM has been to the hozzy today and is now officially suffering from cabin fever. A further two weeks off recuperating. But then he has to go back to work. The good news is that he has bought himself a spanky new bicycle just like this one -

a Trek 3900. Having been for a ride on it today, he reports that it only goes the same speed as the old one. Gutted.

Medial Malleolus meets a famous bloke

Whilst off work with his injuries, Medial Malleolus decided that it would be good to earn a few extra shekels by taking on a bit of work at the local drop-in centre. Imagine his surprise when, out of the blue, Lewis Hamilton called in for a brew. Not wanting to miss an opportunity to be photographed with the rich and famous, Medial barged in and got one of Lewis's mates to take a quick snap on his mobile.
Apparently, in a conversation with him later, Medial said that he was surprised at how little Lewis seemed to know about his own sport, being 'deliberately vague' when asked about double diffusers, and 'nonplussed' when the topic of Fernando Alonso came up. 'I'm also a bit surprised to see that he had someone driving him about', said Medial, 'I would have thought he would have driven himself, and as for his car, well, it didn't look like it would handle at all'.
On a separate note, does anyone else think Medial has had a couple of pies too many whilst lazing about?
