ENORMOUS Sea Monsters !

As if she wasn't enough of a nuisance, our unofficial mascot has apparently been plagueing our poor Far East Correspondent , wanting to know if she can be our 'Sea Monster of the Month'
.FEC explained to her (slowly, as she's a bit, how shall we say, uncomplicated), that without an invitation to a Curryttee Meating, and a willingness to buy the beer, her chances of being taken seriously by the ObotoSobatmasites were slim. When she explained that she was still unable to fathom a torque wrench, and was not fully up to speed on the subject of custard, all hope was lost. The poor wretch is destined to a future where she finds herself miserably suffering a state of constant undress, where, if she had made an effort, she could have made herself useful as pit crew for the next trip.
Another Sad but True tale brought to you by your long-suffering Obo Scribe.

Look, monsters? See?

Master RouteFinder was jolly pleased. He had found,in a beach hut of all places, a purveyor of stylish, artificial, cylindrical, keratinized, pigmented filaments such as are characteristically found growing from the epidermis of a mammal. Master RF just called it a wig.
Doesn't it look good on him, though?

Sea Monster ?

Further consultation of the maps brought our sun-dried incompetents to St Saveur for a hotdog, that well-known French delicacy. Still keen to find Le Monstre de la Mere, however, they set forth once more for more seaside, and upon discovery of a beach, our Master RouteFinder decided to dress in such a manner as to 'fit in' with the locals...

Heaven only knows what manner of local dresses in such a way.

Sea, monster?

Undaunted by the lack of monsters, General E Witless set off inland in search of Normandy landing beaches. Fortunately the Cool DL managed to catch up, and after gently explaining how most beaches are at the seaside, turned him around, where to his utter astonishment, there was a landing site!

Search for a sea monster

Our gung-ho heroes set off bright and early to make to a vantage point to search for the sea monster, but nothing to be found. There were some interesting and thought-provoking WWII sites along the way, but no matter how hard they stared at their feet, no sea monsters were seen.

Le Monstre de la mere de Normandie

It was over coffee, the following morning, when we first heard mutterings regarding 'le Monstre de la mere de Normandie'. Dismissed by your gallant heroes as old wives' tales, the day was about to unfold in a most peculiar way...
